Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most famous wildlife sanctuaries, located in Kajiado County, approximately 210-250 km southeast of Nairobi, right on the border with Tanzania .
Home of the African Elephant: Amboseli is world-renowned for its huge, studied elephant population. It is home to over 1,000 African bush elephants, including the famous “super tuskers” with tusks that almost reach the ground . The park is the site of the longest-running study of wild elephant behavior .
Other Animals: Visitors can see a wide range of other wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, spotted hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, Maasai giraffes, Cape buffaloes, and impalas .
Birdlife: The park is an Important Bird Area with over 400 recorded bird species, including water birds like pelicans and kingfishers, as well as 47 species of raptors (birds of prey) .
Main Activities: The primary activity is game viewing (safari) to see wildlife. Other activities include nature walks, visiting local Maasai communities, and simply enjoying the stunning landscapes .
Getting There: The park is accessible by road from Nairobi (a 4-5 hour drive) or by small aircraft to the park’s airstrip .
Best Time to Visit: The dry months (June to October and January to March) are generally considered the best for wildlife viewing, as animals congregate around the water sources .
Pick up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning drive to Amboseli national pack which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Arriving in time for lunch, check in at your camp/lodge and have lunch and a short rest. Afternoon game drive at the park.

After breakfast, full day spend in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, hippo with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge

Early morning game drive, return back to your camp for Breakfast. After breakfast, game en route out of Amboseli and drive to Nairobi to be dropped at your hotel/airport.
